- 1 Cup Dark Chocolate Chips
- 2/3 Cup Butter Room Temperature
- 1 & 3/4 Cup Granulated Sugar
- 1 tbsp Vanilla Extract
- 3 piece Eggs(Big Size) Room Temperature
- 1 & 1/2 tbsp Baking Powder
- 2 tbsp Coffee
- 1/4 tbsp salt
- 1/4 cup Cocoa Powder
- 2 tbsp Cocoa Powder
- 1&1/2 cup Hot Water
- 1/3 Cup Oil
Ganache
- 1&1/4 cup Heavy cream
- 1 cup Dark Chocolate Chips
In a large heat proof bowl melt butter & chocolate together over a double boiler or microwave & mix until well combined
Add sugar, vanilla extract, coffee and oil
mix until well combined
Now add eggs & whisk well
Add all purpose flour,cocoa powder, baking powder & salt. Mix until well combined
Add hot water & mix well. Batter is ready now
Preheat the oven at 180c for 15 min
Pour the batter in the prepared baking pan & bake at 180c for 50-60min or until the tooth pick inserted in the center comes out clean
Remove from the oven and cool completely
Ganache
In a bowl add chocolate chips & heavy cream and melt over a double boiler. Mix well
Refrigerate for 2 hr or until it thickeners to a spreadable consistency
Spread this mixture over the cake on sides and top using a spatula or spoon in a swirling motion to achieve the textured surface or simply spread using a spatula for a level surface. Decorate as desired
Use good quality dark chocolate or semi sweet chocolate for best taste and texture
If your Ganache is too thick , microwave for 10-15sec to get the desired consistency
Don't spread the ganache on warm or hot cake. The chocolate will melt
Spread the ganache evenly on cooled cake to get the beautiful texture
