Ingredients
  

For Chicken marinade

  • 1 kg Chicken with bones
  • 1&1/2 tsp Chaat masala
  • 3/4 tsp Garam masala
  • 1 tsp Coriander powder
  • 1&1/2 tbsp Ginger & Garlic Paste
  • 3/4 tsp Cumin powder
  • 1 tsp Kashmiri red chilli powder
  • 3/4 tsp salt
  • Pinch of food colour
  • 1 tbsp Lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp Oil

For masala

  • 1 large onion Sliced
  • 3-4 Tomato Sliced
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tsp Kashmiri red chilli powder
  • 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp Chaat Masala
  • 1 tsp Coriander Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin powder
  • 1 tsp Kasuri methi
  • 1 cup oil
  • 1/2 cup Thick Yogurt Full Fat
  • 1/4 cup Thick cream /Heavy cream

Instructions
 

For Chicken marinade

  • Add all the ingredients mentioned above for chicken marinade in a bowl, and mix well . Cover and keep in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.

For masala

  • In a pan add sliced onions and tomato. Add some water, cover and cook for few minutes until its soft and mushy.
  • Make a fine puree of onions and tomato and add water if needed. Set aside.
  • Heat oil in a pan and add marinated chicken pieces. Fry the chicken pieces for 3-4 minutes on each side. Remove from the pan and set aside.
  • In the same pan add the prepared tomato and onion paste and fry for 4-5 minutes on medium to high flame.
  • Add in the Ginger garlic paste and spices, cook for 2-3 minutes.
  • Add the fried chicken pieces and mix well.
  • Add yoghurt and cook for 5 minutes.
  • Add some water , cover and cook for 15 minutes. add salt if needed at this point.
  • Serve hot with chapati , naan or rice.
