Malai Chicken

Ingredients
  

For Green Masala

  • 8-10 Garlic cloves
  • 2 1inch Ginger
  • 3-5 Green Chilies
  • Handfull of Chopped Coriander & Mint leaves

To cook the Chicken

  • 1 kg Chicken drumsticks and thighs Chicken drumsticks and thighs
  • 1&1/2 cup water
  • 1 tsp salt

For Malai Coating

  • 4 tbsp Hung curd
  • 3 tbsp Thick Malai or Cream
  • 1/4 cup Grated Cheddar cheese or 3 cheese slices
  • 3/4 tsp salt or to taste
  • 1 tsp Black Pepper Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Garam Masala Powder
  • 2-3 tbsp Corn Flour
  • Oil for Frying as needed

Instructions
 

For Green Masala

  • in. a food processor or grinder add garlic, ginger, green chillies, coriander and mint leaves. Add some water and make a fine paste. Keep aside.

To cook the Chicken

  • In a heavy bottom pan combine water, prepared green masala and salt. Bring it to a boil. Add washed Chicken pieces and cook on high flame for 1 minute.
  • Now reduce the flame to low, cover the lid and cook until the chicken is 90% cooked and water is dried. Let it cool completely.

For Malai Coating

  • In a bowl combine Hung curd, cream or malai, cheese, salt, pepper, garam masala and corn flour. Whisk to make a smooth mixture .
  • Now add the cooked Chicken pieces and mix until the Chicken is well coated. Let it rest for 30 minutes.
  • Heat some oil in a pan, Add chicken pieces and cook on each side until golden brown for 2-4 minutes.
    Serve hot.
