Manchurian Macaroni

It is a perfect desi Chinese pasta recipe consisting of macaroni cooked in a tangy sweet Manchurian sauce.

Ingredients
  

For Manchurian sauce

  • 1/3 cup tomato ketchup
  • 2 tbsp Soy Sauce
  • 1 tsp Vinegar
  • 2 tbsp red chilli sauce
  • 1 tbsp Hot sauce

For Macaroni

  • 3 tbsp oil
  • 1 Chicken breast pieces
  • 1/2 small onion chopped
  • 1 tbsp Ginger finely chopped
  • 8 cloves Garlic finely chopped
  • 2 Green chillies chopped
  • 1/4 tbsp carrot chopped
  • 1/2 cup capsicum finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp spring onion greens finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup Boiled pasta water
  • 1/4 cup corn flour slurry1
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp Black Pepper Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Red Chilly Powder
  • 1 cup Macaroni
  • Water to boil macaroni

Instructions
 

For Manchurian sauce

  • Mix all the sauces mentioned above and keep aside.

For Macaroni

  • In a Pot boil water and cook macaroni according to package instructions. Keep aside.
    Reserve 1/2 cup boiled macaroni water .
  • In a heavy bottom pan heat oil. Add ginger, garlic and sauce for 1 minute.
  • Add chicken and dry spices , cook for 5-7 minutes on low flame.
  • Add all the chopped vegetables and cook on High heat for 2 minutes.
  • Now dd in the prepared Manchurian sauce, pasta water and corn flour slurry.
    Cook until the sauce becomes slightly thick.
  • Add the boiled macaroni and cook for 2 minutes .
    Garnish with onion green and serve hot.
