Palak Gosht/Spinach with Mutton

Palak Gosht is a delicious combination of spinach and mutton cooked in basic spices. It is a perfect mid week simple and quick dish.

Ingredients
  

  • 500 gm Mutton with bones
  • 3 bunch Spinach/Palak
  • 3 medium sized Onion sliced
  • 1&1/2 tbsp Ginger & Garlic Paste
  • 1/2 cup Oil
  • 1&1/2 tbsp Kashmiri Red Chili Powder
  • 1/4 tsp Turmeric Powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 cup Water if cooking in pressure cooker
  • 2&1/2 cup water if cooking in a pan without pressure

Instructions
 

  • Heat Oil in a pan or pressure cooker.
  • Add sliced onions and fry on medium to high flame until it changes its colour to pink.
  • Add ginger garlic paste, salt, red chilli powder and turmeric powder. Fry for 2 minutes.
  • Add Mutton and cook for 2 minutes.
  • Add water, cover and cook until mutton is tender and cooked completely.
  • Now add Finely chopped and washed Spinach. Bhonofy on high flame for few minutes until water is dried and it releases oil.
  • serve hot with chapati or Rice.
