Quick Aloo Qeema

Aaloo Qeema / Keema is a Classic comfort food popular in India and Pakistan. My classic lamb Qeema recipe is made with lamb mince, potatoes and lots of wonderful aromatics.

Ingredients
  

  • 500 gm Mince Meat Mutton/Beef
  • 1/2 cup Oil
  • 2 Cinnamon
  • 1 Bay Leave
  • 1 Black Cardamom
  • 1 Large Onion Sliced
  • 1 Tomato
  • 2 tbsp Ginger & Garlic Paste
  • 1&1/2 tsp Red Chilly Powder
  • 1&1/2 tsp salt to taste
  • 3/4 tsp Turmeric Powder
  • 1 tsp Garam Masala Powder
  • 1 tbsp Coriander Powder
  • 1&1/2 tsp Cumin Powder
  • 1 tsp Kasuri Methi
  • 2 tbsp Coriander+mint leaves Chooped
  • 4-6 Green Chilies
  • 2 meduim Potato cubes

Instructions
 

  • In a pressure cooker or pan heat oil, add whole spices & fry.
  • Add sliced onions & fry until color changes to light golden.
  • Add in Ginger and Garlic paste. fry on medium flame.
  • Add tomatoes, salt, red chilly & turmeric powder. Mix well and cook for 2 minutes.
  • Add mince meat / Qeema & mix well. Bhonfy for 2-3 min on high flame.
  • Add 1/2cup water & cook in pressure cooker for 8-10min on low flame or on pan for 20-25 minutes.
  • Open the lid & cook on high flame stirring continuously for 5-8 minutes.
  • Add potato pieces, green chillies & coriander leaves. Mx well.
  • Add garam masala, coriander & cumin powder and kasuri methi, Mix well and Cook in the pressure cooker for 2min /in pan for 10min or until potatoes are soft & cooked completely.
  • Check the Salt, add if needed . Serve hot with naan roti paratha or rice I have served with Laccha paratha
