This is a perfect party appetizer because it can be made a day or two ahead of time. These Cheesy Chicken Tikka puffs are really yummy, crispy & flaky with epic savory filling. You have to try this! I used Chicken tikka filing but you can use leftover chicken pieces. I love to use my own masala from scratch. For this recipe, I have used Homemade Tikka Masala. Cheesy Chicken Tikka Puffs

- 500 gm Chicken Boneless pieces
- 3 tbsp Yoghurt Full fat
- 2 tbsp Lemon juice
- 1 tsp Red Chilly Powder
- 3/4 tsp Salt Or to taste
- 1 tbsp Ginger & Garlic Paste
- 1&1/2 tbsp Chicken Tikka Masala
- 3 tbsp Oil
- 1 cup Cheddar cheese shredded
- 1/4 cup Bell peppers sliced
- 1/4 cup Onion sliced
- 14 pieces Puff pastry sqaures Thawed
- 1 piece Egg
- 1 tbsp Water
- 2 tbsp Sesame Seeds
In a bowl add Chicken, yoghurt, ginger garlic paste, lemon juice, salt, red chilly powder, chicken tikka masala & oil. Mix everything until well combined. Cover & keep aside for 30 minutes.
Heat a pan on medium flame and add the marinated chicken. Cook for 5 minutes. Now lower the flame, cover & cook for 5-8 minutes until chicken is cooked completely.
Now add shredded cheddar cheese, bell peppers & onions. Mix well until well combined. Filling is ready.
Prepare the egg mixture by mixing egg & 1tbsp water in a bowl. Whisk using a fork until well combined. Keep aside.
After thawing the puff pastry as per package directions, Add two tablespoons of the prepared chicken mixture to the center of each square.
Use your finger to add a little water to the edge of two sides of the dough. Fold the dough into a triangle and use a fork to seal the edges of the pastry.
Move the pockets to parchment paper line sheet pans.
Repeat with each of the squares until you have all the pastry packets filled and the edges sealed.
Brush the top of the pastry with the egg mixture and Sprinkle some Sesame seed on top.
Bake in a pre heated oven at 170c until the pastry is golden brown, about 15-20 minutes. Serve hot & Enjoy
