Masala Egg Puff
These Puff pastry with Masala & Egg filling is a family favorite because they are a splendid treat to the taste buds. This is a perfect party/picnic appetizer. These flavor packed puffs are really yummy, crispy & flaky with epic savory filling. You can use leftover vegetables or chicken pieces for filling. I love to use my own masala from scratch. Here I’ve used my own spice mix. The recipe is very simple and easy. You have to try this!!!

For dry spice mix
- 2inch 2 Cinnamon Stick
- 1&1/2 tsp Cumin Seeds
- 1&1/2 tsp Coriander seeds
- 2 Green Cardamom
- 8 Pepper Corns
- 1 Black Cardamom
- 1/4 Star anise
- 1 small Bay Leaf
- 2 Cloves
For Masala
- Prepared Dry spice mix
- 2 Large Tomato finely chopped
- 1 medium Onion finely chopped
- 1 tsp Ginger & Garlic Paste
- 1/4 tsp Turmeric Powder
- 1 tsp Red Chilly Powder
- 1/2 tsp salt or to taste
- 1/4 cup water
- 2 tbsp Coriander Leaves finely chopped
- 1 tsp Red Chilly flakes
- 6 Puff pastry sqaures
- 3 Hard boiled Eggs
- 1 egg beaten for egg wash
For Masala
In a pan heat oil . Add onion & cook until soft .Now add ginger garlic paste & cook for 1 minute.
Add chopped tomatoes, salt, red chilly powder, turmeric powder, dry spice mix powder & mix well.
Add water ,cover and cook on low flame for 2-3 minutes.
Add chopped coriander leaves & chilly flakes. Switch off the flame & cool it completely.
Boil 3 eggs & cut into half. Keep aside.
Prepare the egg mixture by mixing egg & 1tbsp water in a bowl. Whisk using a fork until well combined. Keep aside.
After thawing the puff pastry as per package directions, Add one tablespoons of the prepared mixture to the center of each square and place the egg in the middle.
Use your finger to fold the dough & seal the edges. Move these to parchment paper line sheet pans.
Repeat with each of the squares until you have all the pastry packets filled and the edges sealed.
Brush the top of the pastry with the egg mixture and Sprinkle some Sesame seed on top of desired.
Bake in a pre heated oven at 170c until the pastry is golden brown, about 15-20 minutes. Serve hot & Enjoy.
